 Dear Friends:

Welcome to my re-election web site!  I look forward to keeping you posted on my campaign for a third term as San Diego's District Attorney.

We have had many exciting successes in the DA's Office since I was elected in 2003.  We continue to maintain a 94% conviction rate--one of the highest in California.  We have implemented innovative crime prevention programs in addition to our work prosecuting crime.  We have taken aim at local drug dealers, improved our understanding and enforcement of economic crimes, and continued to be tough on violent offenders. 

Our office has also undergone a major restructuring effort during my tenure so that the people of San Diego get the best service at the greatest value possible.  As we enter these lean economic times, that approach will serve us well. 

As your DA I will never stop looking for ways to serve you better.  In this ever-changing world in which we live, it is important to constantly evaluate our programs to make sure the public--not criminals--keep the winning edge in our battle for a safer community.
